Commentary (Delhi Daredevils innings)

That's it from us for now. The first game of the double-header today has been completely one-sided. We now head to Jaipur for the second game of the day, between Jaipur and Chennai at Jaipur. Hopefully it turns out to be a good one and looking forward for your company. That game start at 1430 GMT (2000 IST). See you over there!

DAVID WARNER HAS BEEN NAMED THE MAN OF THE MATCH. Says that it is a great feeling to be a part of the team and be on top of the points table. Adds that he had been watching his side perform from the West Indies and is impressed with the top order's consistency. Also says that last match was disappointing but today was satisfying. Says that this pitch does a bit under the lights but cheekily says that you need to take that out of the equation if you are a batsman. Admits that he has not been hitting the gym for a while now.

Victorious Delhi skipper Virender Sehwag says that at half-way stage, they knew that with the kind of batting line-up they had, they could chase down the score. Praises David Warner for making the chase look easy. Admits that he was trying to hit the ball over long on and miscued it but also credits Warner and Ojha for playing well. Says that one has to be calm and adds that is the way he has been brought up. For him, cricket is simple - Hit the ball hard and he backs himself. Hyderabad captain Kumar Sangakkara agrees that Warner hit the ball really hard and took the game away, not letting Hyderabad get anywhere in the match. Agrees that one does get pumped up at times but it is important to keep your calm and play sensibly.

1.MAXIMUM SIXES AWARD - DAVID WARNER. 2.BEST CATCH OF THE MATCH AWARD - CAMERON WHITE.

Commentary (Deccan Chargers innings)

Morne Morkel feels that this is a good score but also adds that this looks a good track to bat on and backs his side to chase this target down. Given the form Delhi are in, one wouldn't be surprised with his confidence. But one suspects, Kevin Pietersen's absence is a huge void to fill and Delhi will have to bat really well to go on top of the points table. Stay tuned....

Half centuries for both the players, sharing a stand of 126 in just 70 balls. Dhawan was the initiator, toying with the bowlers at his own will and then White followed. Morkel and Aaron saved some face for the visitors.

Excellent batting display by Hyderabad. They batted freely, without any pressure and have raked up runs at more than 9 an over. They started badly though, losing Harris and Sangakkara cheaply but then White and Dhawan really tore into the attack.

The players have made their way out to the middle. Shikhar Dhawan and Daniel Harris are the two openers. Andre Russell will start off proceedings for Delhi.

Aakash Chopra tweets, "Got a couple of things right...Russel and Rao finally made it. It's imperative to reach the play-offs in prime form n not searching for it!"

Delhi - David Warner, Virender Sehwag(C), Mahela Jayawardena, Naman Ojha(Wk), Yogesh Nagar, Andre Russell, Venugopal Rao, Irfan Pathan, Morne Morkel, Shahbaz Nadeem, Varun Aaron.

Hyderabad - Daniel Harris, Shikhar Dhawan, Parthiv Patel(Wk), Cameron White, Kumar Sangakkara(C), Jean-Paul Duminy, Ankit Sharma, Ashish Reddy, Amit Mishra, Manpreet Gony, TP Sudhindra.

Toss - Hyderabad have won the toss and elected to bat. Four changes for them as Ankit Sharma, Taduri Sudhindra, Manpreet Gony and JP Duminy replace Akshath Reddy, Veer Pratap Singh, Abhishek Jhunjhunwala and Juan Theron. Two changes for Delhi as Venugopal Rao and Andre Russell replace Umesh Yadav and Ross Taylor.

After four consecutive wins, a roaring Delhi side were displaced from the top by a rampant Kolkata. Delhi would be looking to get back to winning ways and reclaim the pole position. Hyderabad, on the other hand, have now lost 9 out of their 12 matches and sit at the bottom with just 5 points. They are almost out of the tournament and would be looking to play for pride. Going by their recent form and team composition, Delhi start as favourites.
