Commentary (Delhi Daredevils innings)

Will it be an all South African final? Join us for the second semi final between Sydney Sixers and Titans at Centurion tomorrow to find out.

The Man of the Match is Neil McKenzie. His quick-fire 46 off 28 balls. He feels that Lions had got a good start. But, they lost their way in the middle and it was important to have finished well. He is only glad that he could step up to the occasion and appreciated the bowlers for restricting the Delhi batsmen well behind their target.

Delhi will be bitterly disappointed as they choke yet again. They made a complete mess of what seemed like a less complicated chase. Their batsmen, except for KP who made a half-century, threw away their wickets, not to forget the excellent catching by Lions' fielders. At the end of the day, Lions deserved to get into the final.

Their players came in charging from the dug out soon after the final delivery was bowled and this shows how eager they are to be in the final to get a shot at the trophy. They really won't care who they face in the final which we will get to know after tomorrow's match.

Lions have beaten Delhi who looked stronger and paper and went in as favourites before the start of play and even at the half way mark. The bowlers did a wonderful job for Lions and picked up wickets at regular intervals to peg the Delhi batsmen back early.

Commentary (Highveld Lions innings)

19.6 S Tanvir to M Morkel, Length ball on middle. Morkel swings and misses only to be struck on his thigh pad again. Lions have won by 22 runs and make their way into the finals of CLT20. 117/9

19.5 S Tanvir to M Morkel, FOUR! Slower one straying down the pads and hits the thigh pad on the way to the fine leg boundary for four leg byes. 117/9

19.4 S Tanvir to M Morkel, Full outside off stump, good yorker. Morkel tries to dig it out but misses it. Can he hit another big one here? 113/9

19.3 S Tanvir to U Yadav, Full on middle stump, he drives it down to long off for a single. 113/9

19.2 S Tanvir to U Yadav, Around the wicket now! Tanvir drifts this one into Yadav's pads. It would have been easy pickings had he been a top order batsman. However, he isn't and misses the ball as it hits his pads. 112/9

19.1 S Tanvir to M Morkel, Length ball outside off at 66 mph. Morkel swings and edges it down to third man for a single. 112/9

Appreciation goes for Gulam Bodi and Neil McKenzie who held the innings together with a timely 50 run stand in the middle of the innings.

The average score on this ground during day-night encounters is 154 and Lions have fallen well short of it, putting up 139 and losing 5 wickets along the way. With the batting line up that Delhi possess, this target may seem an easy one. However, Lions will not give it away that easily with a consistent bowling unit. Aaron Phangiso will play the key role again here as Lions go into defend a low total.

19.6 U Yadav to N McKenzie, Short ball on the body, McKenzie tries to pull it but gets it high around the splice of his bat. The ball goes to the leg side and they take on. Lions have put up 139 on the board. 139/5

19.5 U Yadav to N McKenzie, FOUR! Almost a half volley along with some room. McKenzie lofts this over the cover fielder and into the fence. That was an important boundary. 138/5

19.4 U Yadav to C Morris, Length outside off. Morris carves this down to third man. He was trying to hit this one over point. 134/5

19.3 U Yadav to N McKenzie, Short one and slower too, McKenzie waits and pulls it deftly down to fine leg for a single. What can Morris do here? 133/5

19.2 U Yadav to C Morris, And sense prevails and he dabs it to the off side for one and gets McKenzie on strike. 132/5

19.1 U Yadav to C Morris, Short of a length outside off stump, swings at it and misses. He should try to take a single and get to the other end. 131/5

Alviro Petersen and Gulam Bodi who will take strike make their way to the crease. Irfan Pathan will start proceedings.

The team batting first has won 24 games while the team batting second has won 15 in day-night games. The win percentage for the former is 64%.

Toss - Ross Taylor has won the toss and will bowl first. He reckons it's quite windy and its quite similar to home conditions. Feels that he hopes to take some early wickets and chase the total in these rainy conditions. He mentions that they go unchanged. Highveld Lions go in unchanged too.

Pitch - There is a lot of grass on the pitch. The cracks on the pitch appear dry even though there has been some rain in the past few days. The team winning the toss will want to field first.

Weather - There is some cloud cover around the ground. Rain has been forecast today and we can only pray that it waits for three more hours.

Hello everyone to the big first semi-final. Delhi would look to fend away the blemishes of never crossing the semifinals they have taken part in. For the Highveld Lions, they would look to impose their authority in home conditions.

18.6 D Nannes to M Morkel, Length ball outside off at 143 kph, cut away to third man for a single to retain striek. Delhi need 29 to win off the last over with one wicket in hand. 111/9

18.5 D Nannes to M Morkel, Length outside off, swings at it and misses it by a fair distance. 110/9

18.4 D Nannes to M Morkel, Full on off, driven away past the cover fielder to long off for a couple. Morkel seems to be enjoying his batting 110/9
