Commentary (Rajasthan Royals innings)

That's it from us for this game. Do not go anywhere as we now head to the Mumbai-Hyderabad match being played at the Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai. See ya over there.....

VIRENDER SEHWAG HAS ALSO BEEN NAMED THE MAN OF THE MATCH. On his own batting form, Sehwag says that he just wants to take on the bowlers in the first 6 overs and then consolidate later on. Admits that he is feeling in great touch in this tournament.

The two captains get together for a chat now. Rahul Dravid sighs and says that he doesn't know how the match slipped out and probably left it too late. Admits that his team allowed one of the opposition bowlers to bowl a good over and adds that this loss will hurt. Maintains that he is still proud of his team simply because of the fact that there are no big names. Feels that such games are important to build up confidence in the youngsters. Wants his team to get ready for the next game. On Rahane, he feels that the batsman is just showing his class. Virender Sehwag says that he just asked Umesh Yadav to bowl freely and it doesn't matter even if we lose. Admits that after the 18th over, even he felt that Delhi were going to lose and credits Morne Morkel for bowling a tremendous 19th over.

1.MAXIMUM SIXES AWARD - YOGESH NAGAR. 2.BEST CATCH OF THE MATCH AWARD - AJIT AGARKAR.

Harsha Bhogle tweets, "now, that is a cricket match!! what an innings from rahane but what an over from morkel. no savagery, just brilliant cricket. easy to say they should have gone a bit harder but 15 from 2 overs is something you will score most days"

Just a wicket apiece for Pathan and Morkel but good bowling overall. Delhi were tested tonight and they came out trumps. They now have 14 points from 9 games and consolidate their lead at the top while Jaipur are on 5th, with 8 points from 9 matches.

It all looked like Jaipur courtesy the solid 99-run opening stand and when the 18th over went for 10 runs, with 15 needed from 12 balls and Rahane and Hodge in the middle, anyone would have fancied the side chasing. But Morne Morkel bowled a terrific penultimate over to concede just 3 runs and bag the big wicket of Hodge. Umesh Yadav conceded a biggie in the final over but held his nerves in the last 2 balls. Ironically, Jaipur needed Rahane to stay till the end and he was unbeaten on 84 but sadly, his team fell short.

Phew! Take a breather, folks. The Kotla crowd has gone bonkers. The Delhi players are all over one another in jubilation. Spare a though for Rahane and his team. They are absolutely disconsolate.

19.6 U Yadav to A Rahane, OUT! Shah is run out and the game goes to Delhi! What a finish. Full outside off, Rahane looks to steer it to third man but is beaten. The keeper appeals for the catch and the bowler joins him pretty late. Umpire Tucker initially gives it not out but then Dravid, thinking that the ball has become dead, starts to walk away, probably to the 12th man who was scheduled to come in. Commentary (Delhi Daredevils innings)

Shah calls him through for the bye but the keeper scores a bull's eye at the striker's end! The square leg umpire does not even refer it upstairs and raises his finger! 19.1 U Yadav to A Rahane, DOT BALL! Full and just outside off, 148.4 kph, Rahane swings and misses! 141/2

Given the power-packed batting line up of Delhi, 152 looks to be an underachieved total. But this pitch seems to be on the slower side and Jaipur will have to bat well to get there. Stay tuned for the run chase.

It seemed as if they will struggle to get to 150 but that last over from Amit Singh spoiled the plans for the visitors and Delhi crossed the 150-mark. A fine cameo from Yogesh Nagar helped the hosts nicely. The bowling was good in general, even with Sehwag in the middle. Pankaj Singh was the pick of the bowlers with 2/25 in 4 overs while Amit Singh picked up 2 scalps as well.

A good total then from Delhi on a not-so-good batting surface. Their power-packed batting line up did not fire today, with the exception of Sehwag. He held the innings from one end but once he fell, the visitors pounced on the opportunity and stifled the middle order.

19.6 A Singh to I Pathan, FOUR! And a boundary to finish off the innings! Full on middle, 127.6 kph, Pathan swings hard and gets it through mid-wicket for a boundary! 20 runs from the over, DELHI FINISH ON 152/6! 152/6

Ajit Agarkar walks out at number 8, replacing Nagar.

19.5 A Singh to Y Nagar, OUT! Caught! End of a fine cameo. Full outside off, Nagar goes leg side aiming to clear mid-wicket but finds Chavan near the ropes. A useful innings, propelling Delhi to a good score on this sluggish pitch. 148/6

19.4 A Singh to Y Nagar, SIX! Great effort from Cooper in the deep but looks like he has injured himself. Another full toss, 126.9 kph, swatted over square leg. Cooper stationed near the ropes leaps in the air and looks to take the catch but cannot and the momentum takes him and the ball into the ropes. He lands down with a thud and is in severe pain. 148/5

19.3 A Singh to Y Nagar, FOUR! When you swing, swing hard. At least you get the desired result. Full outside off, Nagar comes down the track and swings hard but is nowhere near the pitch of the ball. Luckily for him, the ball goes off the top edge over short third man and into the ropes! The score goes into the 140s now. 142/5

19.2 A Singh to Y Nagar, Good change of pace. Landed outside off, Nagar looks to go for the drive but is beaten. His foot comes out of the crease momentarily and Goswami takes off the bails and appeals. The square leg umpire does not even refer it upstairs. Replays show why. The back foot had got back in. 138/5

19.1 A Singh to Y Nagar, SIX! Not a good way to start the over. Full toss on middle, Nagar flicks it over mid-wicket and clears the ropes with ease. 138/5

The players are out in the middle. Sehwag and Jayawardena are the openers. Ankeet Chavan to start off proceedings. Jayawardena to face. All set! Here we go!

TOSS - Virender Sehwag has won the toss and DELHI WILL BAT. Not surprising, the wicket looks a flat deck.

Jaipur started the tournament on a good note but then have been a touch inconsistent in these middle stages. They will look to get a couple of points and move to third spot while Delhi will look to consolidate their position at the top.
