Once again the fortress of Jaipur has been conquered by the opposition as Delhi hammered the hosts by a big margin. Virender Sehwag was in a belligerent form from the word go and plundered 73 runs off just 38 balls. His innings was studded with 12 powerful fours and a massive hit out of the park. The home side sniffed a little chance very early in the chase when Jayawardena was dismissed in the first over but Sehwag never allowed them to come back by staging a 96-run stand with Pietersen.

Right then, it was a stroll in the park for Delhi. They scaled down the required runs with utmost ease and authority and have completely outclassed Jaipur. They remain on top of the table with 16 points and have almost sealed their spot in the last four. Jaipur also stayed where they were, i.e in the sixth spot.
