For One-Day matches, the fee will be Rs 65,000. This comes as a step to professionalise the selection system in India and will be introduced from next month.

The proposal is expected to be ratified by the BCCI's Working Committee soon.

Till now the selectors, who attend Tests and ODIs at home, are being paid only a daily allowance.

When the Indian team goes on a tour only one selector goes with the team.

However, there is no proposal to scrap the zonal system which many former players and experts have criticised.
