Bangalore: After steering India to a One-Day series win in Sri Lanka, skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni finds himself in a soup back home, as the state-owned Karnataka Soaps and Detergents Limited (KDSL) served a legal notice asking him to appear in Karnataka High Court for a breach of contract.

He's alleged to have not given sufficient time to the company on its endorsement campaign. The company alleges that Dhoni, who was supposed to give the company five days every year, and ten days over a two-year period, was only available to them for three days. Hence, they have now slapped a notice on Dhoni, seeking damages to the tune of Rs 40 lakhs.
The court has now directed Dhoni and his Mumbai based endorsing company to appear in person or through an advocate of by a representative on September 11 for hearing.
