Zaheer Khan was one of the heroes of the thrilling two-wicket win in the seventh and the final One-Dayer against Australia at the Wankhede. CNN-IBN's Roma Khanna spoke to Zaheer about the match and the upcoming series against Pakistan.

Roma Khanna: There were 50 odd runs to get when Murali Kartik and you got together. What did you tell him and what was going through your mind?
Zaheer Khan: He was having a brilliant day. That's why I said to him 'You are having a great day and I am sure now also you will do well. Just back your ability and play normal'. That's what I was telling myself as well.
Roma Khanna: For many of us it was the memory of India-Australia at Bangalore where Javagal Srinath and Anil Kumble batted through it. How do you see that? Do you remember that?
Zaheer Khan: Yes, I saw that game. It was a very tense game and obviously when you come out of such situation and game, it is very satisfying.
Roma Khanna: How much has it changed from the first match in Bangalore to now the game in Mumbai?
Zaheer Khan: On the whole we have been improving on our game right throughout the series. That’s what I said. Nagpur game was crucial and we should have pulled it off but we couldn't. That’s the way it goes and there is going to be only one winner. We are all positive and looking forward to the rest of the season.
Roma Khanna: Personally how has it been? You got wickets early on but at times the bowling has been an on-off kind. How would you rate it?
Zaheer Khan: One-Day cricket is like that. If it is not your day then you can really get hammered all over the park. It's very important to come good every time. You have to be prepared and do your job.
Roma Khanna: Pakistan are coming and how do you see the series progressing? Do you think we have the advantage?
Zaheer Khan: It is all about giving your best. We want to go out there and give our best, our 100 per cent. When we go back, we should be satisfied that we have given our best. As long as we are giving our best, playing to our strength and to our potential we definitely are going to come out as winners.
