Kolkata: Come June and former India captain Saurav Ganguly will be seen in a new role.
Instead of the willow, the former batsman would be holding a speaker in his hand and will be seen compeering a Bengali reality show on the small screen. Continue reading below
Ganguly has already signed a contract with Zee Bangla, a popular Bengali television channel in the city, to conduct the weekly show, according to a report published in the Bengali daily Ananda Bazar Patrika.
The report quoting Ganguly said, "Yes, I have agreed to this proposal. So far I know I have to conduct a quiz show."
Though the exact format of the show likely to be named Dadagiri is yet to be finalised, a source said it would include a quiz.
To start with there would be 72 episodes likely to be increased if the show becomes popular, the report added.
