Sanjay Dutt meets Modi, eyes IPL team

New Delhi: Bollywood stars are lining up at the IPL franchise window. Actor Sanjay Dutt has met IPL boss Lalit Modi in Mumbai to discuss the possibility of bidding for an IPL team.

Two more teams will be up for auction in January next year and those teams will be added to the tournament from 2011. There are murmurs that more stars are interested in being part of the action, including actor-director Ajay Devgan.

If Sanjay Dutt succeeds in picking up a team, he will join a whole range of his colleagues to jump onto the IPL bandwagon.

Shah Rukh Khan is the most high profile face in the league, owner of the Kolkata Knight Riders. Actress Juhi Chawla is a co-owner of the Knight Riders.

If Salman Khan does end up buying a team then his professional rivalry with Shah Rukh Khan will extend onto the cricket pitch.

Preity Zinta is the other big name Bollywood star who owns the Kings XI Punjab, and she was joined by Shilpa Shetty, who bought a stake in Rajasthan Royals in the second season.
