Bangalore: Before rain stopped play in the third session, Zaheer Khan and Aussie wicketkeeper Brad Haddin were involved in an altercation on the third day of the first Test here at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium on Saturday.

Mitchell Johnson, who picked up his fourth victim when he trapped Sourav Ganguly for 47, tested new man Zaheer Khan with a couple of short pitched deliveries. Haddin, then, tried sledging the batsman from behind the wicket and Zaheer reacted angrily and a few words exchanged were exchanged between the two.

Though it was not clear what transpired between the two, a clearly agitated Zaheer was seen complaining to Aussie skipper Ricky Ponting when the teams walked off the field.
