Acrimony continues: Zaheer, Ponting clash

Hyderabad: Once the game was done and dusted the two teams still had the energy to get involved in a war of words.

Man of the Match -- Zaheer Khan first took a swipe at the Australians, which drew a curt response from Aussie skipper Ricky Ponting.

"Aussies always talk about maintaining the run-rate of four per over but where was all that?," asked Zaheer.

He further added, "They (Aussies) know that they cannot take our twenty wickets and they are on the back foot. They couldn't get me and Bhajji out. What else do you want? So, we are here for a big chance in this series. And we know that they are under pressure. So, we are just looking ahead at the second game now."

Ponting, on the other hand, said, "I don't know what he has meant to tell you the truth. We just want to try and take the game forward. We play aggressive cricket. And it didn't mean too much to us."
