Indore: Captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni's fetish for motorcycles is well known but his fascination for weapons came to light when he tried his hand at shooting in Indore, where he had led India to an emphatic ODI win against England.

Dhoni, who was not allowed to watch Bollywood film Dostana owing to security reasons, tried his hands at weapons like AK-47 and Insas rifle.

"It was a totally unexpected demand from the team India captain on November 16 that he was not allowed to watch Priyanka Chopra and Abhishek Bachchan starrer latest film Dostana," Security in-charge of the team and Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) crime, Rajesh Vyas told PTI today.

When one of the team officials Russel Radhakrishna convinced Dhoni not to venture out for the movie in the city he dropped the idea, but then wanted to visit a shooting-range.

"At the Border Security Force's (BSF) range near the team hotel at Ujjain road, he tested his firing skills with weapons like AK-47 and Insas," Vyas said.

Dhoni has also applied for licence of a gun in his home town Ranchi, Jharkhand.
