Akram arrives to train Knight Riders

New Delhi: Away from the spotlight, Wasim Akram quietly slipped into India earlier on Wednesday. Akram will be in Delhi for the next few days in his role as the bowling consultant for the Kolkata Knight Riders.

Recently Akram was involved in an unseemly controversy when his name didn't feature among the commentators for the Champions League.

Although he is contracted to ESPN-StarSports, the broadcaster said Akram had been left out as no Pakistan team was involved in the tournament while some reports suggested that they feared a direction from the Government to leave Pakistani commentators out. But clearly the former Pakistan skipper faced no visa trouble getting into India.
