Durban: Former South African Test player Mike Procter feels India's 320-run win over Australia in the second Test at Mohali has shown that Ricky Ponting's team is no longer invincible.

"(The Australians) are still a very good team. But other countries can now see that they can be beaten," Procter, who was recently appointed Cricket South Africa's Selection Committee chief, said.

With South Africa poised to travel Down Under in December-January, the former all-rounder feels India's record triumph over Australia is an eye opener.

"That (the Mohali win) is going to make our series much more interesting, because we will go (to Australia) with the belief that we can return as victors," said the 62-year-old Procter, who was the Match Referee during the infamous Sydney Test between India and Australia earlier this year.

With South Africa's credentials established in Tests, Procter feels it is time they have a sound one-day side.

"In Test cricket we are established and have a very solid team, but the emphasis will now fall on getting our one-day cricket right," he was quoted as saying in Afrikaans daily 'Beeld'.

National coach Mike Arthur reiterated the chief selector's views.

"There's still a lot of work to be done, (but) I want to become the first South African coach to bring home a World Cup," Arthur, whose contract was extended till the 2011 World Cup, said.
