hi this is rama krishna, in this whole series i.e. asia cup india showed enough performance. but did not played against srilanka in the final. this is not the fault in india or greatness of srilanka team but a fate which is with mendis.though i think this power cannot prevent our team to win the series. And going through the match we can know some fault with batsman in understanding the new and famed bowler mendis. suresh raina did not reacted well to the ball and went for missing in a low ball.this is wrong.he would have played defence for some more time and then after effectively understanding the bowling he would have gone through hitting.

I think Team India was decent in this series ( Batsmen were great and bowlers ordinary, both ciurtesy flat tracks). They were beaten by Ajantha Mendis and not by SL team. I am sure our players will sort him out soon and then SL will have nothing extra-ordinary.

What Indian Cricket needs now is for Vengsarkar & Co to take charge and name India''s Best Team, irrespective of age.Look at Srilanka having 39yr old Jayasuriya winning them games. The days of "Dhoni''s Team" full of ''chamchas'' like Uthappa who owe their presence entirely to their Captain should end.Dhoni''s unfortunate tactic of sidelining all ''potential threats'' like Dravid,Ganguly and now Tendulkar as also picking ''fights'' with Sehwag shows his lack of ''Team India Interest'';more ''Dhoni Survival Interest''.Even Dinesh Kartik who is young has been sidelined as he is a potential threat to Dhoni''s wk position!Time for Vengsarkar & selectors to takecharge!! For Cricket India."Dhoniraj" has led us to be second best to Srilanka & earlier Pakistan.Enough is Enough

I agree that India choked in the finals but i will still give them some credit because the apart from the finals they played really GOOD cricket. I would say they were a little unfortunate (with toss or some catches being dropped by their best catchers etc). If you look at Australia they always had the luck to back their unquestionable talent and performance.

Mr Newton,
While I quite agree about luck, let''s take a look at this...
In the 20-20 World Cup final, Misbah-ul-Haq surrendered the advantage for Pakistan, not once, but twice, including the final. Both matches Pakistan had completely in their grip.
So when it comes to luck, Dhoni has had more than his share.
But there is a time in life, when luck has to be supplemented with performances, on a consistent basis, and on stages that matter. That is what distinguishes between teams like Australia and India.
Cheers

Playing 20-20 cricket is destroying the Test and 50 over game. Players lose their fitness very fast. BCCI is only after making money.why blame players. Remove politicians from cricket and you see indian cricketers glory. What else anybody can say more than this?

@ Rohit. You are trying to defend India by saying even Zimbabwe would have competed against Westindies. Don''t forget the same Sri lankan team was beaten by Westindies recently. And what more they played Mendis better than than the India.

What we have seen in Karachi is absolutely unacceptable on the part of the Indian Team. Neither the Batsmen nor the bowlers delivered when it is expected of them. Scoring or chasing close to 300 runs since the start of the tournament and finally succumbing to a meagre total in the final quoting a newcomer''s bowling strategy is highly condemnable. We don''t expect the team to win all the matches like the Aussies, but atleast we can expect them to deliver in crunch situations. None of them got out to a better delivery but sheer carelessness on the batsmen'' part. Bowling, sorry no comments

When a young team fails everyone wants their experienced players re-included in the side. But keep in mind that Tendulkar,Dravid is not gonna play forever. The youth has to be groomed simultaneously to replace their slots, when they leave at some stage.Remember they(Indians) eliminated badly from the worldcup with allthose experience stars. It''s was just a bad day @ the office for Indians.I still think Indians were the beter team on that day exept for 30-40 mins.dat 30mis of bad play took the game away from them.Dhoni is a terrific captain and he is still learning. I assure you that Indians will do beter in times to come.Talentwise they the best team in the world at the moment and might replace Australia @the top of rhe ranking.(srilankan fan)
