Nottingham: Jittery Sri Lanka edged past Bangladesh in a tight finish in their warm-up game to win by four wickets at Trent Bridge on Tuesday.
Chasing 152, the islanders reached home with only two balls to spare.
After Bangladesh posted 151-6 after electing to bat, the Lankan chase was rocked by the fall of wickets at regular intervals.
Mahela Jayawardene anchored the chase with his 28-ball 43 but his wicket gave Bangladesh hope.
However, the Lankans managed to avoid an upset. Shakib Al Hasan was the pick of the bowlers, taking two wickets for just 18 runs in his four overs.
In the Bangladesh innings, Raqibul Hasan (38) top scored for Bangladesh, who went down to Australia on Monday in their first warm-up match.
Rookie left-arm pacer Isuru Udana was impressive with two wickets for 30 runs in his four overs.
