Ahmedabad: India play the West Indies in the Group A ICC Champions Trophy match at the Sardar Patel Stadium in Motera (Ahmedabad) on Thursday.

The Indians have been beaten by the West Indies five out of the last seven times the two have met.

But now the equations have changed as Team India will be playing in their own backyard and raring to go and make sure that they win against the West Indies and book their place in the semi-final.

On Wednseday, Sachin Tendulkar was seen bowling in the nets and skipper Rahul Dravid said that he could be asked to share the bowling responsibility against the West Indians.

He hasn't bowled much after his shoulder surgery but could send down a few overs if the need arises. Interestingly he was also seen sending down seamers and maybe that is a way to counter the dew.

"I don't think any one has cracked how to counter the dew. I have played five-six matches in dew and it does play a bit of part in the game. You have to look at ways to counter it, you have to look at your strategy. You have to look at combinations which best suit the conditions," Rahul Dravid said.

But more than his bowling the team needs Tendulkar to fire at the top. Virender Sehwag's poor run of form remains a concern.

He did belt the bowlers in the nets but when it came to facing his own teammates in a practice match on Monday he failed twice.

Even Yuvraj Singh failed twice in that match adding to the problems of the team management.

"I think it is great opportunity. A lot of the young cricketers should see this as an opportunity. Being a part of such a tournament so close to the World Cup and playing in a must-win game," Dravid said.

The bowling has been spot on and there are no fitness worries.
