New Delhi: You know why the IPL is the success it is? Because a certain Brendon McCullum set the tone for the League with his blistering knock in the very first game. It was a benchmark. It had everyone glued to their seats. And with SRK and co dancing in the aisles, it brought a never-seen-before entertainment quotient to the game.

And now with Season III back in India, the big runs are going to be back. A quick glance at the numbers is a clear indication of the bloodbath that is expected on the Indian wickets. After low-scoring, close affairs in South Africa last year, the batsmen are relishing the prospect of lip-smacking tracks that made the format a household name in India.

Don't believe me? Here's proof.

All the top five innings totals and the highest match aggregates ever scored in the IPL have been achieved on Indian wickets.
