Durban: After their seventh loss it's now even mathematically impossible for Kolkata Knight Riders to enter the semi-finals in this season's IPL.

While the fact is not lost on their coach John Buchanan, he insists that the team is concentrating on the positives.

With five more games left in the tournament the World Cup-winning former Australian coach still hopes his team will redeem themselves soon.

As the pressure to end the win-less streak mounts on the Knight Riders it's being widely speculated that Buchanan may just quit soon.

Kolkata's defeat at the hands of Delhi Daredevils on Tuesday night was their seventh in nine games, and one was washed out.

The season for Kolkata Knight Riders started on a controversial note, with Buchanan suggesting a multiple-captain theory.

Although his plans didn't materialise due to widespread criticism, Kolkata still stripped Sourav Ganguly of the captaincy and made New Zealander Brendon McCullum his successor, who has had a torrid run in the IPL so far.
