Conditions here suit my way of play: Hussey

Bangalore: Aussie middle-order batsman Michael Hussey, who put his team in sound position with fighting 146 on the second day of the first Test here on Friday said he was happy with his efforts as it's always tough to play in Indian conditions.

"It's particularly special to get a Test match hundred in India. It's arguably the toughest place to play for the Australians. So to get a ton and put your team in a good position is quite rewarding," Hussey told reporters after the match on Friday.

Hussey said that the Indian conditions suit his style of play as one needs a lot of patience on sub-continent wickets.

"Probably yes. You need lot of patience to play on these wickets and it suits my style of play. The outfield here is very fast and you just have to place the ball well. It's been a good start but it's a long series so I don't like to see too much into it," he said.

On how he looks at the progress in this Test in the backdrop of Australia winning every time he has scored a Test ton, Hussey said, "I didn't know that. We've got to play three good days of cricket. And if that record continues it feels good. India too have got a good start."
