London: All-rounder Andrew Flintoff has given full credit to England's new captain Kevin Pietersen for the team’s unexpected resurgence in the one-day format in the recent series against South Africa.
After taking a 4-0 upset lead over the second ranked South Africa in the on-going One-Day series with a win at Lord’s, the Englishmen are all set to leapfrog to number two slot in the ICC ratings, if they clinch the final One-Dayer on Wednesday.
"The dressing room is experiencing a different atmosphere. Kevin (Pietersen) is confident and that rubs off on us all," Flintoff was quoted as saying in the English media.
"We had some great times with (previous captain) Michael (Vaughan), but this dressing room is slightly different. As long as we keep working hard, I'm sure we can be a successful team," the 30-year-old, who has played a vital part in England's resurgence, added.
