New Delhi: It's not only the Indian Test team which is sweating hard to look good in its next venture.
Cricket fever, it seems, is still running high in Bollywood. After Aamir Khan enthralled one and all with his talent with the willow in Lagaan, Harman Baweja is toiling hard to get his skills in place for his next movie, Victory.
Victory, based on cricket, features international players like Brett Lee, Stuart Clark and Michael Hussey amongst many others. And to ensure Harman looks convincing, the producers have hired former cricketer Praveen Amre as a consultant for the movie.
Baweja, who made his debut a few weeks ago, was pitched against real-life cricketers. After playing with professionals in Australia earlier this year, Harman on Thursday went through rigorous practice sessions with Rajasthan's seasoned Ranji Trophy players - Mohammed Ahmed and Abhijeet Sharma. He played for 12 hours non-stop and by the end of it, he almost collapsed.
Currently in Jodhpur, the actor suffered from sunburn but his efforts seem to have paid rich dividends as he was lavished with compliments by current and former cricketers.
"My big moment came when these Ranji players said I played well. They said I looked convincing in the way I wore my helmet, gloves, stood my ground, ran and connected with the field. I worked on all of that," Baweja told India FM.
