New Delhi: The start of the second day's play in the first Test between India and Bangladesh at the Bir Sreshta Shahid Ruhul Amin Stadium in Chittagong has been delayed due to rains
The match is unlikely to begin before lunch. On Day I, India were 295/3 after only 77 overs were possible due to a rain delay after the lunch break.
India had won the toss and elected to bat. Opener Dinesh Karthik, skipper Rahul Dravid, vice-captain Sachin Tendulkar and Sourav Ganguly all hit half-centuries to put India in a commanding position.
When the play was called off on Day I, Tendulkar and Ganguly had decimated the Bangladesh attack with an unbeaten 163-run partnership.
