New Delhi: After having led India to a series win in Sri Lanka, MS Dhoni has another reason to cheer. The Indian ODI captain has regained the number one ranking among one-day batsmen.

Dhoni who has held the ranking earlier and was ranked number two before the start of this series has displaced South African captain Graeme Smith at the top.

He has made 192 runs in the series so far at an average of 48. This has included two crucial half- centuries, both of which rescued India from crisis situations.

In 119 ODIs so far, Dhoni averages a phenomenal 48.00 with a strike-rate above 90.

Sachin Tendulkar is the only other Indian in the top at number nine while the out of form Yuvraj Singh is at number 18.
