Kolkata: A day after getting the call to join the Indian Test squad in South Africa, Sourav Ganguly was seen in television channels across West Bengal in the role of a singer.
He was singing for a cause and joined other celebrities from West Bengal to promote AIDS awareness on World AIDS Day.
The music album is a tribute to the HIV positive and AIDS infected people of the country and as many as 35 top sports and entertainment personalities from West Bengal have made an appearance in the album.
But for a cause as pertinent as spreading awareness against the fastest spreading disease of the world, the volunteers didn't mind sparing time.
"It was quite crazy, you know, when I first sat down and made a list and my friend Kanishka, who did the music. He said that have you gone crazy, have you gone nuts, how can you even think that you will, you know, manage so many celebrities together? But I was said that if I am true to this cause I am sure this music video will happen and it happened," Jiboner Jonye Music Video, Director, June said.
And Sourav Ganguly also joins the bandwagon.
Apart form Ganguly there are many other celebrities who are a part of the album. With members of top Bangla bands wrapping up the song titled Jiboner Jonye, meaning for the sake of life, it would be difficult to ignore the album.
