Kuala Lumpur: Did coach Greg Chappell look upset when India buckled losing five quick wickets in the rain-affected match against Australia last week?

"Don't jump to conclusions, I just have that unfortunate appearance of looking upset," Chappell said wryly in response to a comment that he looked upset when India's wickets collapsed.

He cautioned the media assembled for a pre-match press conference on Tuesday saying, "Don't put words into my mouth".

Chappell, however, said he was disappointed about the fact that Indians could not play a full game so far in the series, which was important to fathom the level of their preparations.

"India did not get to play a full game to see where we are (in terms of preparation)," he said.

Chappell said the rain interrupted games were no guide to his team's potential and if he looked upset it was because of that.

"That was what I was upset about. I'm thinking hard, looking at different things. I just have the unfortunate appearance of looking upset," he said.

The coach said India had missed an opportunity to get the match practice in Sri Lanka and as well as on this tour.

"That's (practice) what we want," he added.
