New Delhi: Bangladesh are playing Bermuda, and if Bermuda wins, India will be through to the Super Eight. But that could be asking for too much. In their two matches so far, Bermuda's bowlers have been plundered for 734 runs by Sri Lanka and India. And their batsmen have managed just 234 runs in two innings.

Needless to say, the Bangladeshis, on a high after their win over India and are the overwhelming favourites.

The headlines have been screaming, India virtually out of the World Cup, the only reason why the word virtually is being used is because India still has a chance of sneaking into the super eights but their fate is in the hands of the minnows from Bermuda who have to beat Bangladesh.

Bermuda skipper Irving Romaine said, "Obviously we are still trying to play well, we want a victory, definitely want a victory, we're up against Bangladesh. We're coming out to win, we're not coming out to lay down and give in, we are coming to play cricket and try and win the match definitely."

If by chance, Bermuda's amateurs can back up the words of their captain with deeds on the field, they will become heroes overnight in India. It is on this bunch of amateurs that India's faint hopes of surviving in the World Cup rest and its an irony not lost on the Bermuda skipper.

"It's good to have their support, I mean a couple of days ago there was like, Bermuda, Bermuda and now the shoe is on the other foot, they are supporting us now. It's good to play a part of the World Cup even though we haven't got the results right now. This game means a lot in the World Cup," added Romaine.

Bangladesh though will fancy their chances of making it past this challenge without breaking into a sweat, Habibul Bashar's team realises they are on the cusp of history. The opportunity is here and they intend not to slip up.

"If you see the two teams you would say Bangladesh should win. But this is an international game and you can't say before the game that you win the game. But we have to do our hard work and to do our basics right, then I think it will be all right," said Bangladesh captain Habibul Bashar.

In their two matches so far Bermuda's bowlers have been plundered for 734 runs by Sri Lanka and India and with the bat they have managed a grand total of 234 runs in two innings. So if you are an Indian supporter then Cheer for Bermuda today.
