Hyderabad: Lahore Badshah's captain Inzamam-ul-Haq feels his team's defeat to Royal Bengal Tigers in their ICL T20 encounter here is a wake-up call to all the members of the squad.
"Had we scored 170, it would have been a challenging total. But we could not. We have good players in our side. This is a wake-up call for us. The rival team played well," he told reporters.
The Tigers beat the Badshahs by eight wickets with 14 balls to spare in the match played at the Lal Bahadur Shastri stadium here on Sunday.
Tigers captain Craig McMillan praised Upul Chandana's four-wicket haul as the crucial factor in his team's success.
He felt that restricting the Badshahs to 139 made their job easier.
Amid the cricket stars, it was the Bengal team's brand ambassador and Bollywood actor Mithun Chakraborty who hogged the limelight at the match.
He congratulated the Royal Bengal Tigers for the victory and said the match made all Bengalis proud.
Asked who is his favourite cricketer, Chakraborty said Sunil Gavaskar and Kapil Dev are his cricket idols.
