New Delhi: Australia find themselves in the unfamiliar position of trailing in a Test series as the Delhi game approaches. In an an exclusive interview with CNN-IBN, all-rounder Shane Watson reflected on all that went wrong in Mohali, and how they can repair the damage at Ferozeshah Kotla.

Ishant impact

I really believe Ishant Sharma has made a big impact. It's mind blowing that he's actually 19 or 20 years old, and he's an extremely skilful bowler. He gives you hardly any loose balls at all. He has got great control with the new ball and with the old ball while reversing the ball. I think he has been a real big difference.

India's bowling attack

Zaheer Khan is another bowler who is extremely skilful with the old ball and the new ball. He's able to find ways to getting wickets and he showed that on day five of the Mohali Test as well.

All their bowlers have played such a big part in this series. Harbhajan is bowling extremely well. He hasn't got as many wickets as the other bowlers have, but as a batsman, I know he doesn't give up. He doesn't give you anything to hit at all, which makes it a great challenge as a batsman and I love playing against him because I'm always learning about how to try and develop different ways of playing him.

They have bowled really well as a group, and that's something we need to do as a bowling group as well.

Australia in transition

There's no doubt that we are in a transition phase, the Australian team. Losing Glenn McGrath and Shane Warne who just bowled teams out non-stop and consistently for the last 10-15 years. We've lost Justin Langer, Adam Gilchrist, Damien Martyn, so there's no doubt that there are younger guys coming in.

Australians vulnerable?

There's no doubt we are failing compared to the experience we have had in the past. But we have got some extremely talented guys who are coming in and playing. Jacques Kallis has compared us to what we were having McGrath and Warne who bowled teams out all the time. So yes we are a lot more vulnerable. But the guys who are coming in will be able to stand up to do the job and hopefully I'll be a big part of that.
