Mumbai: Jacques Kallis continued his unbeaten streak as he guided Royal Challengers Bangalore to a comfortable seven-wicket win over Mumbai Indians to go top of the table at the Brabourne stadium on Saturday.

Kallis stretched his run to four matches and remained 66 not out as Bangalore wrapped up victory with five balls to spare, with Eoin Morgan giving him company on five not out. Manish Pandey had given Bangalore a terrific start to their run chase along with Kallis, which saw them to 85 without loss in the 10th over.

Robin Uthappa and Virat Kohli accelerated Bangalore's surge towards their target, losing their wickets in the process, but Kallis saw them home without further hiccps.

Mumbai lost their first game after two victories and were outplayed by the Bangalore side. Earlier, R Vinay Kumar's three-wicket burst sparked a middle order collapse as Royal Challengers Bangalore restricted Mumbai Indians to 151-9 in the top of the table clash. Dale Steyn also bagged three wickets in a fiery spell of fast bowling.

Mumbai lost four wickets in the space of five runs and two overs at the halfway stage which made the difference after the hosts were off to a decent start. But Zaheer Khan used the long handle to good effect to end on a positive note.

Bangalore made a fine start through Steyn who trapped Sanath Jayasuriya in the first over and then Aditya Tare early. But captain Sachin Tendulkar and Saurabh Tiwary revived them with a steady stand before rival skipper Anil Kumble struck in his first over.

Kumble deceived Tiwary in the air to bowl him for 25 before Vinay Kumar ran through the Mumbai middle order, removing Ambati Rayudu, Dwayne Bravo and Sachin Tendulkar in a frenetic passage of play, until Kieron Pollard and Zaheer Khan provided some late order blows to lift the home side.
