Karachi: After the disastrous tour of Sri Lanka, the Pakistan cricket team is once again looking for help from a sports psychologist to repeat its T20 World Cup triumph in the ICC Champions Trophy scheduled to be held in South Africa later this year.

It may be recalled that Pakistani cricketers had several 'shrink' sessions ahead of the T20 World Championship which they subsequently won.

Captain Younis Khan said those sessions had helped improve the self belief of the players before the tournament, and was one of the prime reasons behind team's victory.

Khan said he has asked the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) to once again arrange similar sessions for the players.

"We will have two proper counseling sessions because there is a problem with us that we tend to suffer from a mental block when it comes to handling pressure or finishing off matches," The News quoted Khan, as saying.

He said former fast bowler Waqar Younis and prolific left-hand opening batsman Saeed Anwar would also visit the conditioning camp which would be organized in September.

"I think our players can gain a lot by seeking advice from these former greats and a psychologist. We need these things to do well in the Champions Trophy which is a mega event," Khan added.
