New Delhi: BCCI President Shashank Manohar has assured the new PCB chairman Ijaz Butt that India will go ahead with their tour of Pakistan in January next year.

Manohar has already written to the Indian government for security clearance and expects a reply in 10 to 12 days. Earlier, there were reports that India's tour to Pakistan may be under threat due to security threat but with the BCCI President sounding positive, the tour seems will be held according to schedule.

This endorsement has come as a huge boost to the PCB after the security situation in the country that forced the postponement of Australia's tour earlier this year and the champions trophy.
