New Delhi: Clearly, one man's injury can be another man's opportunity. Waiting in the wings for his chance is the impressive Shaun Marsh, who last played a one-dayer in April before picking up an injury. He spoke to CNN-IBN about his hopes from the series.
Shaun Marsh: I am slowly getting back in the group. It's been a long six months. I have put injuries behind and look at playing cricket for my country again.
CNN-IBN: Australia are obviously looking at finding a settled opening pair now after (Matthew) Hayden and (Adam) Gilchrist. Are you looking to seal that spot?
Shaun Marsh: I would love to but Shane Watson and Tim Paine have been fantastic for the past three-four months at the top of the order. If I get an opportunity at the top of the order, it will be great but I have to wait and see for the next few days to what the selectors do and where I bat if I play.
CNN-IBN: You had a super IPL in India. you obviously love playing here. Are you looking forward to that?
Shaun Marsh: I love playing cricket in India and I have had success in the IPL. It's an incredible feeling when you go out to bat in front of 50, 000 Indians. I love playing here and on these wickets. Hopefully, I can do that in the series again.
CNN-IBN: You will be playing against your team-mate Yuvraj Singh from Kings XI Punjab. Have you spoken to him or are you in touch with any of the Indian players?
Shaun Marsh: I spoke to Yuvi when I met him in the lobby a few night ago. And playing against him, is going to be fantastic, he's a great player. We have built a good friendship over the last few years. And playing against him, is going to be tough as he is a wonderful player. Hopefully, he doesn't score to many runs against us.
