New Delhi: With no cricket to keep him busy Yuvraj Singh has developed a new passion. Known for having a flare for style, Yuvraj has designed a personalised sticker which adorns his bat now. Yuvraj spoke to CNN-IBN about that and the contenders for the No 1 spot in Tests.
Yuvraj Singh: I have a tattoo which relates to the sticker. The tattoo is that of a wing, the sign itself being a positive one that metaphorically takes you high.
CNN-IBN: Do you think India and South Africa are the next contenders for the No. 1 spot?
Yuvraj Singh: It is neck and neck. If you see, India and South Africa have done well against all the teams. Some of the teams have been playing better than Australia. Despite the loss, Australia are still No. 1. But the gap has been narrowed. We have to play consistently well throughout the coming years to become No. 1.
CNN-IBN: Are you satisfied with your performances? How would you look at the year gone by?
Yuvraj Singh: A couple of months ago when I was going through a bad phase, people had a lot of questions to ask me about what was going on with my batting. But winning a Test match along with Sachin Tendulkar was a great feeling.
I have won a few games for India in the one-dayers but doing that in Test cricket gave me a lot of satisfaction. But I have only started off, so I have to put in more consistent performances.
