Indore: S Sreesanth, who is captaining Kerala in the Ranji Trophy against Madhya Pradesh, was ecstatic after his inclusion in the Indian Test squad for the series against Sri Lanka on Tuesday.

Sreesanth was engulfed by ecstatic team-mates and his team's coaching staff, despite having an average day on the field, bowling 10 overs for 58 runs as Madhya Pradesh scored 134-1 on a day shortened by bad light.

But for Sreesanth, this was a moment to relish and he is promising to return a new and improved man.

"I'll put my best effort and try not to repeat my mistakes and focus on my cricket. I want to start afresh, as a beginner," Sreesanth said.

Sreesanth last played a Test for India last year against South Africa in Kanpur. He had a stint in English county cricket with Warwickshire to stake a claim for a return to the national team.
