Sachin now lays foundation off the field

Vijaywada: Sachin Tendulkar would lay the foundation stone for the Andhra Cricket Association stadium at Amaravathi township in Mangalagiri of Guntur district after coming from the Sri Lanka tour, an ACA official said on Saturday.

The stadium would cost around Rs 20 crore, V Chamundeswaranath, Andhra Cricket Association general secretary said at a press conference here.

Former Andhra Ranji Trophy captain K Chandrasekhara Raohas been appointed as the in-charge of the ground, he said.
