Kolkata: Former Indian captain Sourav Ganguly on Wednesday named Aussies Richie Benaud and Bill Lawry as his favourite television commentators.

"They were really special whom I want to hear again and again. " He rated cricketing legend Sunil Gavaskar as his favourite among Indians in the commentary box.

"Gavaskar is good and continues to be good, while (Ravi) Shastri has been the most improved commentator."

On whether he liked former English opener Geoffrey Boycott's commentary, Ganguly replied: "He is always very good in cricket, commentary and criticism."
