Bangalore: Sachin Tendulkar on Monday joined the fitness camp for the batsmen being held at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bangalore.
Tendulkar had missed the first two days of the camp. He along with skipper Rahul Dravid, Sourav Ganguly and Anil Kumble will meet the three-member committee of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) to sort out the contract issue on Monday afternoon.
However, Ganguly, Virender Sehwag, Yuvraj Singh and Mahendra Singh Dhoni, who were part of the Asia XI team for the Afro-Asia Cup series and were expected to join the camp on Monday, have returned to their home.
Dravid will miss the last day of the camp on Tuesday as he will be in Delhi to select the team for the upcoming series against South Africa in Ireland and a one-off One-Dayer against Pakistan.
India are scheduled to play three ODIs against South Africa between June 26 and July 1 and then face Pakistan at Glasgow, Scotland, on July 3.
Meanwhile, BCCI Secretary Niranjan Shah has hinted that the Board is ready to renegotiate the contracts issue.
"We want players and BCCI on the same platform on the contract issue," Shah said in Bangalore on Monday.
On the question of why Graham Ford has been given a one-year term as the coach of the Indian team, Shah said: "Graham Ford has been given one-year contract as he is a new person we are working with."
