New Delhi: Sachin Tendulkar has no plans to retire from One-Day Internationals for now.

Tendulkar's wife Anjali told CNN-IBN that he would have told her if he was planning to quit One-Dayers.

"If Sachin was to retire he would have told us first. Had Sachin been retiring we would have been watching the match," Anjali said while rubbishing some media reports that claimed Tendulkar had decided to quit from ODIs during the current tour of England.

Tendulkar is also keen to continue playing the shorter version of the game at least for some more time though he has decided to be more selective in choosing the ODIs he would play.

There have been reports about his retirement in the wake of a string of injuries the batsman suffered in recent times.

Even during his memorable knock of 94 off 81 balls at the Oval on Wednesday night, he suffered cramps towards the end of his innings.

After getting out in the sixth ODI, he sat near the boundary ropes for some time to recover and was helped up the stairs into the dressing room by his teammates.

There have been some reports that Tendulkar was planning to call it quits from One-Dayers during the current England tour.

However, he was persuaded not to do so and continue playing ODIs till the home series against Australia and Pakistan later in the year.

Tendulkar along with Sourav Ganguly and Rahul Dravid have already pulled out of the Twenty20 World Championship saying that it was a young man's game.

He has already spoken about the toll that nearly 18 years of international cricket particularly One-Dayers have taken on his body.

"I enjoy every moment I have on a cricket field, but the recovery times between games these days are difficult, especially for One-Day Internationals, and that's my major obstacle. It does take its toll on the body. When you are 22 or 23, you recover a lot more quickly. But at 34, it's not so easy," Tendulkar had told the Times earlier in the week.

Last year also Tendulkar had said that he was no longer a young man of 17 that was taken as a hint that he was planning to hang his boots at least in the ODIs.

Should Tendulkar quit? Have your say
