Rookie Aussie set to surprise Indians

New Delhi: After getting a taste of the Ajantha Mendis medicine, India could be in for more trouble with rookie Australian off-spinner Jason Krejza keen to put his 'mystery ball' on test.

Krejza, 25, won a surprise call-up to the national side ahead of fellow Australian Beau Casson who played a Test in the West Indies. And he impressed straightaway at a tour game against the Rajasthan Cricket Academy recently, bagging three wickets with his attacking style of swing bowling.

It is learnt the young spinner has an ace up his sleeve, a delivery akin to the 'Carrom Ball' developed by Sri Lankan Ajantha Mendis.

"I've been working on it for four or five years and I think it will definitely come out in this series, because I want to keep these Indian batsmen on their toes," Krejza was quoted as saying by the the Canberra Times.

While the Indians are under the impression that the Australians are fielding perhaps their weakest bowling attack in a number of years, the Australian is busy plotting the hosts' downfall.
