India failed to last for 20 overs and Australia wrapped up the game inside 13 overs. The one-off T20 game has been an one side affair and the home team won it by 9 wickets. The only consolation for India was Gilchrist's wicket, who departed for 25 trying to clear the fence off Praveen Kumar's bowling. Its been a complete team-work by the home team and Clarke has been impressive in his short stint as captain. This is also India's first loss to Australia in the shortest form of the game. Clarke has been named Man of the Match for leading the side in a fantastic manner. India's decision to bat first has backfired as the visitors have been bundled out inside 20 overs. Not a single top order batsmen could manage to reach double figures. Dhoni failed in reading the pitch accurately and the Indian batsmen were guilty of not adjusting according to the conditions. The pitch turned out to be on a slower side but the batsmen continued to hit through the line. Its an irony that the leading run scorer Sachin Tendulkar, who smashed two centuries and two fifties in the Test series watched from the sidelines as India were bowled out. The Australian camp would be immensely satisfied with their performance as every bowler had his name in the wickets column.
India have just managed to avoid the embarrassing record of the lowest T20 score.
