We have witnessed an exhilarating encounter and Australia have emerged victorious. It's been yet another all round performance by the home team. Brett Lee proved he is still the best bowler picking up a fifer. Gautam Gambhir scored his 2nd fantastic century of the series to take India near to the daunting target of 318. Uthappa's half century and a late cameo by Harbhajan reignited India's hopes but Lee's destructive over did not allow the game to slip out of Australia's grip. Ponting was named Man of the Match. Adam Gilchirst complemented Lee well claiming six dismissals. The series is still wide open and Sri Lanka have the chance to compete with Australia in the finals. If India win the next game against Sri Lanka they will go through the finals and if they lose than the final spot will be decided from the outcome of the final league game between Australia and Sri Lanka.

A powerful top order performance by the Australian batsmen have propelled the home team to 317-5 .Ricky Ponting had a terrible summer this season and the right hander finally put his poor run behind hitting his first century in the CB series. The Australian skipper brought up his 26th ODI ton with the help of six fours and one six. He shared an 100 runs partnership with Hayden, who too hit his first half-century in the tri series. Symonds chipped in later cracking a brisk 59 from 49 balls. Irfan Pathan bore the brunt today conceding 73 runs from 9 overs. It's still a good batting track and Indian batsmen need to apply themselves.

Hello and welcome to our coverage of the 10th ODI of the CB series between Australia and India. MS Dhoni and co can book their final berth with a win over Australia today and if they do it will end Sri Lanka's campaign in the series. India's sub continent neighbor will have a keen eye on this
contest as their fate in the series will now be decided on the basis of Australia's performance. It promises to be another close event as both the teams have shared similar problems throughout the course of this ODI series. The home team has shown that their bowling can still be penetrating despite resting their key fast bowler Brett Lee. However, its the batting which has been bothering the champion team for a while now.
