Second Innings
Batting : India
Bowling : Australia
Australia comprehensively beats India by 47 runs and takes a 2-0 lead in the 7-match ODI series. India even failed to survive the whole fifty overs as they were bowled out for 243 runs. India got off to a disastrous start as Gambhir, Uthappa and Dravid were sent back to the pavilion in the space of three overs. But Tendulkar and Yuvraj Singh brought India back into the match as they played sensibly and added 95 runs for the fourth wicket. Tendulkar then was bowled by Hogg for 43 runs. Yuvraj Singh then combined with Indian skipper Dhoni to put on 65 runs stand for the fifth wicket. But the required rate kept creeping on the batsmen, and India started losing their way as they lost wickets in quick succession. But Yuvraj Singh was the star of the show as he dazzled with a scintillating knock of 121 off just 115 balls and kept India in hunt of the target throughout his innings. Brett Lee was the pick of the bowlers for Australia as he scalped three wickets while Hogg also chipped in with three wickets in the end. Andrew Symonds won the Man of the Match award for his superb knock in the Australian innings. So, Australian juggernaut continues to roll in this series while India has lots of worries in their camp after two successive loses.
